Last weekend, I worked with a friend and great chef, Johnny Spero. His collaboration with chef Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground brought an eight course storm of New American Fusion (this being my impression of what the food was and not the actual cuisine which was undetermined at the time). Spice and Sweet bananas with black garlic and the  most tender short rib around, a refreshing raw kampachi, and some surprising vegetarian swap outs were just a few of the gems that were created out of Johnny’s imaginative and inspiring feat.

A weekend in DC umungst the cherry blossoms was just what my creatively craving mind needed.
